Healing through Divorce
Finding ways to thrive and grow, even while in the midst of a divorce
….consultations with a psychotherapist

I offer support in the form of consultations, counseling and coaching for individuals and couples thinking about divorce, going through a divorce, or post divorce. For those who live at a distance I offer phone sessions which is also very effective. I also support to those who may not be married but are considering ending a long term relationship. There are many complex issues which come up around divorce. I also offer a sliding scale to try and make it easier on couples who’s finances may be already stretched through the process of divorce.

Some of the issues we may explore are:
*Coping with anger
*Dealing with loss and loneliness
*Rebuilding self-esteem
*Helping children adjust
*Creating self-love and self-acceptance
*Letting go and moving on
*Reinventing yourself

For couples who have some hope left for saving their marriage, I recommend Marriage Fitness, a program developed my Mort Fertel that helps couples turn their marriage around even in the most difficult of situations. For more information click on this link:

In addition to the support he offers, I also offer couples coaching based on his approach.
Please feel free to call me at 415-730-2461.

Opportunity for to Live from our Highest Potential
Life presents us with many opportunities to live from our highest potential. Divorce, while painful can be one of those times. Pain is a great motivator, which can help us shift out of our old patterns and propel us into a journey of self discovery and healing.

This site was created to help couples and families who are separated and divorcing in Marin County, California, to find the resources and support that can make divorce less difficult and open the door to healing and beginning a new and better life.

No doubt divorce is among the most disruptive of life events. But it can also be a great motivator and teacher that guides us to new ways of being. Few of us who have been through the experience would wish to repeat it. But few of us who have made new lives, who have discovered a richer sense of self or greater fulfillment, would wish to go back to the lives we had before divorce.

Those of us who have been down the path of divorce would like to make that path easier for you by offering this collection of divorce resources and professional referrals. It is our hope that the help offered here will let you make the best of your divorce and find a new beginning.
